Youlia Tkatchouk is a multidisciplinary artist with a Ukrainian background whose practice spans painting, sculpture, mosaic, installation, and works on paper.
Rooted in memory, cultural inheritance, and experiences of displacement and transformation, her work considers what is carried, what is altered, and what endures. Through repetition, restrained symbolism, and material tension, Tkatchouk creates a visual language where fragility and permanence coexist.
Her work has been exhibited and recognized internationally. Trialogue received Best in Show at Mosaic Arts International and the Coverings Prism Award.
My work begins with what remains—of memory, place, and time.
I am interested in the fragile ways we carry experience: what is preserved, what changes, and what quietly disappears. Moving between painting, sculpture, mosaic, and installation, I allow material and intuition to guide the work.
Repetition, traces, and recurring forms create a language through which I explore displacement, transformation, and belonging. I am drawn to the tension between fragility and permanence—to the possibility that what seems lost may continue to exist in another form.
